In November 2021, the Trent Hill Center for Children & Families hosted "I Dreamed a Dream: A Night of Broadway with the Trent Hill Center" at Hartsville's own Center Theater. This event featured some of the area's top talents, including a selection of vocalists, musicians, and dancers. $120,000 in proceeds from sponsorships and ticket sales made it possible for THC to launch the Independent Living Program (ILP) the following month. The ILP serves youth ages 18-21 who are transitioning out of foster care by providing shelter, support, and services that will ensure youth are prepared for adulthood and independence.
